The company organizes KCX events that fill entire venues and has teams in Valorant, Rocket League, and League of Legends. Today, the organization can finally say that it has a place in the top League of Legends league in Europe as Karmine Corp and its co-owner Kamel “Kameto” Kébir have announced that the company has bought Astralis’ slot.
There had been whispers for a while that the French organization would join the LEC, as the league recently underwent a revamp of participating teams, but the organization had not been able to reach an agreement until today. The French organization was not seeking a deal like the one between KOI and Rogue, where both brands merged.
The French organization will take over from a direction of Astralis that has failed to stand out in the LEC. Astralis has only finished above fifth place once in its brief history in the league and has never qualified for international events.
The organization’s slot has apparently been for sale since 2022. Karmine Corp will take over this position and join the top league after three years of competing in the LFL.
In the European League of Legends Tier 2 system, KCorp has won the LFL twice and the European Masters tournament four times. We are now looking forward to seeing what they have in store for us in the LEC.
At the time of writing this article, less than 24 hours after the official announcement, the announcement tweet already has nearly 12 million impressions. Blue Wall fans are still fully behind their beloved team and everyone is eager to see Karmine in action in the LEC.
They will once again compete with Team Vitality, already in the LEC for several years, even though that is not the main goal. Everyone knows the road will still be long before reaching there, but we now have every reason to believe in light of what has been achieved in just a few years.
The entire Dexerto team now wishes Karmine Corp good luck for its promising adventure in the LEC!
